About Summit Networks
About Summit Networks
Summit Networks is an IT consulting firm in Colorado Springs for small and mid-sized businesses: medical and dental practices, defense suppliers, contractors, manufacturers and professional offices. We secure email and Microsoft 365 accounts, answer business phone lines with an AI receptionist, build custom web applications, and design and fix the networks underneath all of it.
Summit Networks is service-disabled veteran-owned.
What working with us looks like
- A written scope before any work starts. You approve what we will do and what it will cost. The number you agree to is the number you are invoiced.
- Published prices. Our monthly plans and hourly rates are on this site, so you can budget before you talk to anyone.
- Reports in plain English. What we found, what we changed, what it cost and what can wait, written so you can forward it to your business partner or your insurer.
- You own your systems and your data. Admin accounts, passwords, diagrams and code are handed over in writing. If you ever stop working with us, nothing is held back.
- No surprise bills. Engineer time is billed only with your OK, and we will tell you when an hourly arrangement would cost you less than a plan.
Who does the work
The engineer who scopes your project is the engineer who does it: Owen Hoffmaster, Summit Networks’ owner, with more than 23 years in IT infrastructure and security. You talk to him directly, not to a salesperson or a ticket queue.
Owen started as a Data Network Administrator in the U.S. Marine Corps and continued supporting Marine Corps networks as a contractor. He then spent nearly five years as an Active Directory engineer for the Defense Intelligence Agency in Stuttgart, Germany, running identity infrastructure across more than 500 domain controllers and 120,000 user accounts in one of the most security-conscious environments there is.
Back in the United States he spent a decade as a systems engineer and IT consultant, designing cloud infrastructure and resolving the escalations other teams could not close. Summit Networks brings that experience to local businesses directly, without layers of account managers in between.

Where to start
Most businesses start with one specific problem: email that can be impersonated, a phone that goes unanswered, a network that drops, or a compliance deadline. Run the free email security check, describe your project, or call 719-451-1218.
