Part-Time Outside Sales Representative – B2B

A paid, part-time job meeting local business owners and booking first meetings. $20.00 an hour, Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., plus a bonus for every meeting you set and commission on the clients you bring in.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
Part-time W-2 employee
$20.00/hr plus bonus and commission
Weekdays only, no evenings

The job

Summit Networks is a service-disabled veteran-owned IT consulting firm in Colorado Springs. We secure email and Microsoft 365 accounts, answer business phone lines with an AI receptionist, build custom web applications, and design and fix networks for local businesses with roughly 5 to 100 employees: medical and dental offices, defense suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and professional offices.

Your job is to open the door. You meet owners and office managers, introduce what we do, and book a first meeting. You do not need to be technical: our engineer scopes the work, writes the proposal and closes it.

Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., about 20 hours a week. Evenings and weekends are always off. The schedule suits parents with children in school, military spouses and semi-retired sales professionals.

What you will do

  • Visit businesses in Colorado Springs, Monument and Woodland Park: business parks, medical offices and light-industrial areas
  • Introduce our offer: Front Desk and Secure Office plans, the free email security check, custom software and IT consulting
  • Follow up by phone and email, including businesses that have run our email security check, and book first meetings with our engineer
  • Attend a chamber of commerce or networking event now and then
  • Log every contact in our CRM

Who does well here

  • Experience in outside or B2B sales: office equipment, payroll, uniforms, telecom, insurance or similar. Route or door-to-door experience helps.
  • Comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation
  • Organized and dependable about follow-up
  • A reliable vehicle, a valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply

Pay and benefits

  • $20.00 an hour for all hours worked, including driving between stops
  • $50 for each qualified first meeting that takes place, paid on the next paycheck
  • 10% commission on a new client’s payments in their first 12 months, paid as the client pays
  • Mileage reimbursed at the IRS rate
  • Colorado paid sick leave
  • Training on everything we offer, plus materials and business cards

A typical week is about 15 conversations with owners or office managers and 3 first meetings booked. The first 90 days are an introductory period, with a check-in at 30, 60 and 90 days. The commission plan is set out in writing and signed before you start.

On-Site Field Engineer

1099 independent contractor · Paid per visit · Colorado Springs and surrounding

The person who actually shows up. When a client needs hands
on a workstation, a server, or a rack, you are the one who drives out and fixes
it — on your own schedule, taking the dispatches that suit you.

This is not a salaried position and it is not full-time. We send you the work,
you accept what you want, and you invoice us for it. Take one visit a month or
ten; there is no minimum and no exclusivity.

What it pays

$65 to $85 per hour during standard business hours, and
$95 to $110 per hour for after-hours and emergency callouts,
with a two-hour minimum on every dispatch — if a job takes twenty
minutes, you are still paid for two hours. Mileage is paid beyond 25 miles from
central Colorado Springs. Project and cabling work is quoted per job.

You invoice us for accepted visits and we pay within 15 days. There is no
base, no benefits, and no guaranteed volume: you are paid for the work you take.

Who does well here

  • You already do field or desktop support work — for an MSP, a break/fix shop, a VAR, or on your own — and want additional dispatches that fit around what you do now
  • You own your tools, carry your own vehicle insurance, and have a clean driving record
  • You can be trusted in a server room and in a front office, and you talk to the client rather than past them
  • You are willing to pass a background check — some of our clients are medical practices and defense contractors, and their sites require it
  • Most dispatches fall on weekdays during business hours, Monday through Wednesday especially. Telling us honestly when you are available matters more than being available often

What the work involves

  • Workstation and server work: hardware installs, imaging, replacements, and break/fix
  • Swapping and installing network gear — firewalls, switches, access points — to a configuration we hand you
  • Structured cabling runs and terminations, and cleaning up racks that were never done properly
  • On-site troubleshooting when something cannot be fixed remotely, with one of our engineers on the phone if you want them
  • Site surveys before a project, and photographs and notes afterwards so the documentation actually matches the site

The terms

  • Independent contractor (1099). You use your own tools and vehicle, carry your own insurance, and decide which dispatches to accept and when you are available.
  • No exclusivity and no non-compete. Keep your own clients and keep working for whoever else you work for. We only ask that you not solicit the clients you meet through us.
  • You are never obligated to take a job. Decline anything, for any reason, without it affecting what we send you next.
  • Paid on invoice, within 15 days, for accepted and completed visits at the agreed rate.
  • Background check before your first dispatch, because client sites require it.
  • The full terms are set out in a written agreement we both sign before you start.

Not this role?

Those are the two positions open right now. We hire ahead of need for other
service delivery roles — help desk, systems and network engineering,
cybersecurity, compliance, cabling and project coordination — and we go to
the résumés already on file before anything is advertised. Send yours to
careers@summitnet.io, tell us what you do, and you’ll get a real
reply from a real person telling you honestly where that work sits for us.

How to apply

Outside Sales Representative: complete our sales training at
summitnet.io/training (about 27 minutes; you can stop and
come back), then send a short note about your sales experience to

the subject line. Your training results come to us automatically.
Applications close October 31, 2026.

On-Site Field Engineer: email careers@summitnet.io
with “On-Site Field Engineer” in the subject line and tell us what you work
on, what you drive, and when you are available. A résumé is welcome but not required. A real person replies to
every application: a 30-minute call first, then a sit-down to go through the
work and the paperwork.
